Workshops

  • Your Nervous System, Your Power is an interactive, experiential workshop that helps participants understand what’s happening inside them—so they can move through life with more clarity, choice, and confidence. Through movement, art, discussion, and simple neuroscience, participants explore the “owl, tiger, and turtle” states of the nervous system and begin to recognize how stress and overwhelm show up in their own bodies. In a supportive, non-judgmental space, they map their “window of tolerance,” identify what pushes them out of balance, and discover what helps bring them back.

Through creative exploration and hands-on “tool stations,” participants will experiment with a range of regulation strategies and create a personalized “inner safety plan”, and start building awareness of how to read bodily signals. They leave with simple, usable tools and a deeper sense of agency, grounded in the understanding that their nervous system is working to protect them—and that they have the capacity to navigate their inner world.

  • What if your days at home felt less chaotic and more connected—without needing a perfect schedule?

In this talk, we’ll explore how to create a flexible, supportive rhythm for your family that works with your child’s (and your own) natural energy, emotions, and needs. Instead of rigid routines, you’ll learn how small, intentional anchors in your day can bring more calm, cooperation, and connection.

Grounded in child development and nervous system awareness, this session will help you understand what’s underneath your child’s behavior and how to respond in ways that build regulation, resilience, and trust. You’ll walk away with practical tools, simple shifts, and realistic ideas you can start using right away.

This isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what matters, with more ease.

In addition to these topics, I also offer talks and workshops on the following:

  • Talking About Consent with Your Child

  • Self-Regulation Before Co-Regulation

  • Attachment Science in Action

  • ….and more!

  • Setting Boundaries in Difficult Moments introduces the ALP Approach—Attune, Limit Set, Problem Solve—a simple, relationship-based way to handle challenging behavior while staying connected.

Grounded in neuroscience and Polyvagal Theory, this talk helps educators and caregivers understand why children (and adults) become dysregulated and how connection is the key to guiding them back to a place where learning and cooperation can happen. Instead of power struggles or quick corrections, participants learn how to respond with attunement, set clear and respectful boundaries, and invite problem-solving.

This session is practical, language-rich, and immediately usable—offering real-life scripts, nervous system tools, and a compassionate framework for turning difficult moments into opportunities for connection, regulation, and growth.

  • How we speak to children—the words we choose, the tone we carry, and the way we respond in everyday moments—quietly shapes how they come to see themselves and the world around them. Language is never neutral; it communicates safety or threat, belonging or disconnection, capability or doubt. Over time, these interactions become the inner voice children carry with them, shaping their confidence, emotional regulation, and willingness to explore and connect.

In this workshop, I will help you build awareness and intentionality around how you speak to children in real-life situations. Grounded in neuroscience and years of experience in early childhood, you will learn practical, well-tested strategies to support children’s nervous systems, set clear and respectful limits, and strengthen connection. Small shifts in language can create powerful changes—helping children feel safe, curious, and deeply understood.

For parents and caregivers, educators and administrators, and anyone else who works with children.

  • Polyvagal Theory in a Flash is a simple, accessible introduction to how our nervous systems shape behavior—for children and the adults who support them. Based on the work of Stephen Porges, this talk explores the “polyvagal ladder” and three key states: connection, fight-or-flight, and shutdown.

You’ll learn how the body is constantly asking “Is this safe?” and how this influences emotions, reactions, and relationships—often outside of conscious awareness. Participants leave with practical, compassionate tools to better understand and support regulation in themselves and the children in their care.

  • A practical, easy-to-understand introduction to how a child’s brain works—especially during big emotions. Inspired by The Whole-Brain Child by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson, this session translates brain science into simple, everyday strategies.

Learn why children “flip their lid” and how to respond with connection first, then guidance. Walk away with practical tools to support emotional regulation, build resilience, and create calmer, more connected relationships.
